Relief programs that will help auto owners

  1. Ally Financial is allowing auto loan holders to defer their payment for up to 120 days with no late fees, and they’re also waiving overdraft and balance minimum fees for bank customers. 
  2. Bank of America is allowing customers to defer credit card payments. If you’re stuck deciding between the credit card bill and your auto loan, reach out to request a deferral on your credit payment. This could help alleviate the financial pressure.
  3. Fifth Third Bank is waiving payments for auto loan holders for up to 90 days, and they’re also allowing credit cardholders to defer payment for up to 90 days.
  4. JPMorgan Chase is allowing for payment deferrals and waivers on a case-by-case basis. They have encouraged customers to reach out to request and discuss if they are eligible.

These are major banks, and it’s likely that most smaller institutions will follow suit now that industry leaders have enacted relief programs. Interested in learning more?
